revere electric co., chicago, il.
late 1920's all original american depression-era oversized unusually-shaped green porcelain enameled cold-rolled steel reflector designed and fabricated by the revere electric company, chicago, il. the "angled type" reflector is attached to fully adjustable ball-joint circular-shaped canopy. the long socket housing contains the original single weather-resistant ceramic socket. the rolled rim reflector was originally mounted on a sign post to illuminate a chicago area filling station signboard. the period canopy was added to make it more practical in terms of mounting in an exterior or interior setting. the diameter and depth of the elongated reflector bowl, along with position of the filament and location of the neck, were selected to throw practically any and all light within the 0 to 90 degree angle. the fixture retains the original, high grade reflective white porcelain underside. good overall condition considering age and prolonged exposure to the elements. two matching fixtures available. priced individually. measures approximately 20 x 13 x 19 inches
