repurposed antique american made industrial multi-purpose table consisting of early 20th century have duty oversized cast iron boylston factory machine shop bases designed and fabricated by the w.a. jones foundry & mach co., chicago, il. the matching industrial machine legs are held together at the bottom with two opposed steel rods with threaded ends and secured with large nuts on the outer sides of each leg. the newly added custom-built tabletop is made of multiple stained pine wood boards held tightly together and reinforced from the underside with two opposed stretchers. the remarkably heavy cast iron bases with largely rounded openings have been brushed down to bare metal and sealed with a clear coat lacquer. the tabletop can be replaced or removed altogether.
