oversized cast iron and brass salvaged chicago interior wrigley building commercial office door lockset fabricated by the russell & erwin mfg. co., new britain, ct. the door hardware features an unusual integrated "letters" mail slot. the backplates are cast iron with old crazed gold paint finish. the streamlined style doorknobs are made of brass. the door lockset was removed from the iconic wrigley building during interior renovations. the white terra cotta-clad building was designed and built by the architectural firm of graham, anderson, probst & white for william wrigley jr. in 1924.
