c. 1910-20 original american industrial "geneva table" stationary work stand or table base or work stand featuring a manually operated spring-loaded telescoping arm employing a rack and pinion mechanism controlled by an oversized faucet handle. the heavily reinforced three-legged telescoping gringer machine stand contains a lightly tapered pedestal base comprised of cast iron with a uniform brushed metal finish sealed with a an amber -colored shellac. possibly fabricated by the la salle tool company, la salle, il. the newly added square-shaped solid hickory wood table top with recessed apron contains a natural finish. the two faucet handles are original and intact. the table moves up and down with ease.
