all original c. 1940's vintage american medical brushed metal hospital bedside reading lamp manufactured by will ross inc., milwaukee, wi. the fully adjustable floor lamp features a bell-shaped metal shade that freely rotates 360 degrees around a stationary axis with turned finial handle. towards the lamp's midsection lies an outlet with small reflector or shade to illuminate the bedside and/or nearby floor. the tubular steel telescoping post raises the lamp to a maximum height of six feet. weighted cast iron base intact.
