original late 1880's antique american ornamental cast bronze interior residential pocket or sliding door flush mount backplate designed and fabricated by either norwich or the norwalk hardware company. the pocket door backplate contains a deeply recessed "cup" handle or pull with centrally located skeleton keyhole. a mostly uniform oil-rubbed metallic enamel was used to provide a more darkened finish. measures approximately 5 3/4 x 2 1/8 inches.
