all original late 19th century impressive oversized american victorian era stained glass residential transom window with design and fabrication attributed to the schuler-mueller co., chicago, il. the richly colored and/or variegated glass window retains the original soldered joint lead caming with very little excessive wear and tear evident. the late 1880's window is comprised largely of cathedral glass (i.e., colorants added versus opalescent or "slag" that contains multiple colors and/or "opal glass" in the mix). there are several diminutive jewels and two large opposed white opalescent glass rondels. the design characteristics are typical of the victorian period. the original wood window sash frame was removed long ago. measures approximately 52 1/4 x 14 3/4 inches.
