completely refinished late 19th or early 20th century american industrial "columbian" oversized office drafting table fabricated by the eugene dietzgen co., principal factory, chicago, il. the heavily reinforced four-legged mobile drafting table retains the original spacious pine wood drawing board. vertical movement is accomplished by rack and pinion movement, actuated by a large spoked cast iron faucet style wheel. the iron brackets allow the massive drawing board to be tilted and clamped at any desired angle. the swivel casters are intact and fully functional. the cabriole style cast iron legs are structurally sound. the iron components have been brushed down to bare metal and treated with a clear coat lacquer. top measures 60 x 40 inches.
