rare mid-nineteenth century privy dug medium emerald green squat porter style bottle manufactured for e postens in philadelphia, pa. the sloping shoulders and neck are finished with an applied blob top. the body is embossed with block lettering of the manufacturer's name and location, the abbreviated "pa" with raised end-letter falling just above the heel. the base has a very shallow kick up. this bottle features crudities typical of its age and date of manufacture, including vertical bubbles, surface scratches and a white irridized patina. in good condition, intact with no cracks or chips.
