late 1930's or early 1940's american industrial oversized riveted joint angled steel factory machine shop custom-built stationary shelving unit salvaged from a factory specializing in the fabrication of parts for the aerospace industry. the large four-tier storage unit contains reinforced detachable corrugated metal or wire mesh shelves that were built specially for the riveted joint rack. both the shelves and angled steel frame has been brushed down to bare metal and sealed with a clear coat lacquer. the factory shelving unit is capable of holding a substantial amount of weight. structurally sound and stable throughout. measures 59 1/4 x 19 1/4 x 55 3/4 inches.
