matching set of original 19th century interior residential american victorian era tapered and fluted or deeply grooved columns designed and fabricated by the bertelsen adjustable grille co., chicago, il. the long and narrow columns contain ornamental iconic capitals with partially intact gesso ornament. the circular-shaped pedestal bases are original. the richly colored stained finish has aged nicely over time. the columns were salvaged from a chicago graystone residence constructed in the 1890's. measure 5 x 79 inches. priced for the pair.
