very clean and robust original c. 1940's american industrial stationary factory machine shop workbench designed and fabricated by the pollard brothers, chicago, ills. the well-maintained factory worktable contains a solid rock hard maple wood tap with surface wear consistent with age. the matching riveted and welded joint angled bases retain the original "pollard green" paint finish. the table is reinforced with a spacious undershelf and single horizontal metal stretcher. two nearly identical workbenches were removed from a south side chicago factory specializing in the fabrication of automotive parts. measures 60 x 30 x 32 inches.
