c. 1950's vintage american industrial all-welded joint tubular steel stationary stool designed and fabricated by krueger metal products, green bay, wisc. the lightweight stool was salvaged from a recently shuttered northwestern indiana chemical plant research laboratory. the oversized heavy gauge four-legged tubular steel base has been brushed down to bare metal and sealed with a clear coat lacquer. the sanded and sealed maple wood saddle seat and contoured backrest remain in great overall condition, considering age. the rotating or swivel seat is affixed to a solid steel threaded post or spindle with a fixed height. the elongated oval-shaped backrest is supported by two bent steel rod brackets mounted along the underside of the seat. the backrest is capable of sliding towards or away from the seat. the tubular metal base is structurally sound and stable. over 22 identical stool available. priced individually.
