original c. 1930's antique american industrial depression era chicago filling station single-sided "service" sign made by hand. the oversized old red painted letters are made of wood and are nailed on a single strip of wood. the large sign was salvaged from a chicago gas station basement filled with old oil cans, display units, advertising and tools. the sign remains in great overall condition, considering age. the handcrafted sign measures 63 1/2 x 10 1/4 inches.
