mid-19th century original and intact squat or porter style emerald teal green glass soda or mineral water bottle likely fabricated by dyottville or phoenix glass works out of pennsylvania. the brilliantly colored bottle contains a remarkable slug plate "strike" with deeply embossed lettering, identifying the bottler's name and city. the early american bottle features a long and tapered neck with an applied tapered collar with single ring configuration. the iron-pontiled base retains very faint traces of iron oxide - most were likely removed during extensive tumbling. very little can be readily found on this bottler. the bottle was likely fabricated between 1850-55. the level of crudity with stretch marks and seeds is consistent with age.
