late 1940's vintage american factory office stackable barrister-type freestanding bookcase unit. featuring three distinct tiers or enclosed compartments/cabinets comprised of a heavy gauge folded and pressed furniture sheet steel. the exterior has been brushed down to bare metal and sealed with a clear coat lacquer. the pivoting drop-down clear glass doors contain solid steel knob pulls. the top or crown and four-legged base are original to the cabinet. designed and fabricated by the art metal construction company, jamestown, ny. the clear glass panes or insets are in excellent condition. ready for immediate use. measures 33 x 13 x 61 1/2 inches.
