completely riginal c. 1927 intact american antique interior theater seat or chair end salvaged from the extant lawndale theater, located on the west side of chicago. the hand-painted monogrammed ornamental cast iron chair end retains the original varnished birch wood armrest with brass letter plaque. the theater seat end was fabricated by heywood-wakefield. the gray and gilded accent finish shows wear consistent with age. the lawndale theater was constructed in 1927. r. levine & co., were the architects. measures 13 x 2 x 24 inches.
