mid-19th century privy-dug light aqua blue mouth-blown molded glass mineral water bottle fabricated for j. kennedy, pittsburgh, pa. the cleaned (i.e., tumbled) glass bottle features the bottlers name, content type and city on the front side of the bottle. the back features james kennedy's initials in oversized, fanciful lettering. a large tapered and applied blob top sits on a short neck with allover whittle marks. the cylindrical-shaped bottle contains a punted or push-up base with faint traces of a circular iron pontil scar. the bottle's heel contains surface wear consistent with age and use. great overall condition.
