19th century american eastlake style ornamental cast brass "oriental" pattern banded rim passage size interior residential doorknob fabricated by the branford lock works, branford, ct. traces of the original baked black enameled inlay, used to accentuate the raised detail, remains largely intact. the abstract floral motifs carry over to the backside of the doorknob. measures 2 1/4 inches in diameter.
