largely intact and unique vintage medical ophthalmic testing device workstation designed and fabricated by or for the bausch & lomb optical co., rochester, ny. the work stand features a heavy duty three-legged baked black enameled cast iron base with distinctive cabriole style legs. the diminutive table with slightly raised wood edges move up and down by rotating the oversized wheel wrapped around a threaded steel spindle. the workstation contains a stainless steel patient headrest on one side and a massive swinging bracket (mounted along the underside of the stand) containing a retina eye scope on the opposite side. the scope retain the original cord and plug. the table contains a polished black laminate surrounded by the wood edging. the triangular-shaped bausch & lomb metal manufacturer plaque remains intact. table measures 23 x 12 1/2 x 35 inches. with instruments it measures approximately 52 inches high x 35 inches wide.
