rare and highly sought after c. 1910-20 antique american medical cabinet designed and manufactured by the american cabinet co., two rivers, wi. the freestanding supply cabinet is comprised largely of heavy gauge steel with a mostly uniform brushed metal finish sealed with a clear coat lacquer. the freestanding mobile cabinet is comprised of two sections fastened together from the backside. the upper cabinet contains two equally-sized hinged doors with original thick bevel plate glass insets. the interior compartments are outfitted with a single stationary shelf. the main portion of the cabinet is divided into a multitude of pressed steel pull-out drawers retaining the original faceted glass pulls or handles. the surface-mount cabinet door hinges with ball finials are comprised of cast brass. the original hardened rubber swivel casters are in working condition. the cold-rolled pressed and folded steel frame remains structurally sound and secure. measures 34 x 14 1/2 x 61 1/2 inches.
