very unique american depression era all-riveted joint steel and angled iron factory machinist's toolbox. the handheld portable tool chest was salvaged from an old milwaukee tool & die factory. the hinged pyramidal top features a repurposed cast iron handle originally used on a railroad boxcar. the lockable hasp remains in working order. the brushed metal finish has been cleaned and sealed with a clear coat lacquer. spacious, undivided interior. exceptional example of american industrial folk art. measures 19 x 8 1/2 x 13 inches.
