very unique american industrial wall-mount c. 1930's reinforced cold-rolled sheet steel first aid supply station cabinet designed and manufactured by the mine safety appliance co., pittsburgh, pa. the heavy duty factory cabinet with drop-down cabinet door was found mounted against a wall in a south side chicago factory. the riveted joint bent steel handle provides for easy transport. the hinged cabinet door retains the original fully functional hasps. the compartmentalized interior contained various medical supplies. the original, profusely illustrated chart provides detailed information on the treatment of common work-related injuries. original baked enameled finish remains largely intact. measures 19 1/4 x 13 x 4 inches.
