c. 1918-25 original antique american single flush mount oversized interior cook county hospital operating room cast bronze door handle with largely intact nickel-plated finish. the handle was likely designed and fabricated by the russell & erwin or "russwin" mfg. co., new britain, ct. the large door handle contains a long rectangular-shaped backplate with a single stationary handle firmly in place. surface discoloration evident. the backplate contains four screw holes for mounting flush against a flat surface. only one available in this style. measures 3 x 2 1/2 x 12 inches.
