intact antique c. 1880's medium blue aqua blobtop hutchinson soda bottle manufactured for illinois bottler conrad hoffman. the front body features a round slug plate with embossed lettering that reads, "c hoffmann & co. / lakeview, ill.". the tall hutchinson shaped bottle is finished with a squat neck and an applied oval blob top with some whittling. the bottle retains its original hutchinson internal spring stopper. the smooth base and side seams evidence manufacture with a two leaf mold. crudities are typical of its age and date of manufacture and surface wear or discoloration are consistent with being dug.
