unique custom-built american depression era chicago transit authority pressed and folded diminutive portable toolbox. the lockable tool chest is comprised of pressed and folded galvanized steel with riveted joints along the edges. the crude arched handle is riveted and soldered against the hinged top. the lockable steel hasp for use with a padlock, is original to the small tool chest. the exterior has been brushed and sanded down to bare metal and sealed with a clear coat lacquer. measures 17 x 8 1/2 x 10 inches.
