single late 1930's antique american industrial depression era four-legged stationary machine shop stool likely designed and fabricated by the chicago wire chair company, chicago, il. the refinished stool contains a welded joint base for added strength and stability. the nicely worn circular-shaped maple wood seat is tightly affixed to the base. the stool is equipped with a protruding bent steel heel or footrest for added comfort. the angled steel or iron base has been brushed down to bare metal and sealed with a clear coat lacquer.
