assemblage of vintage american industrial factory machinist hand and/or machine cut letter and number stamps fabricated by the young brothers stamp inc., muscatine, ia. the solid steel hand stamps were used for marking parts or tools with customized "signatures" in the form of lightly incised lettering and/or numbering. exhibit wear and tear from decades of use. original hardwood block bases contains evenly-spaced round and square holes for storing the stamps upright. the letter stamp sets was salvaged from an old chicago machine tool factory located north of chicago. image shows two more sets than you would be receiving.
