structurally stable repurposed 19th century american industrial "companion" treadle lathe machine base side table designed by perry mason & co., and fabricated by the millers falls company, located in millers falls, mass. the matching ornamental legs are comprised of cast iron with a uniform brushed metal finish treated with a clear coat lacquer. the combination lathe and saw was designed specifically for the youth market. manufacturer markings (in the form of embossed lettering) are found along one of the stretchers. contains a newly added solid maple wood table top affixed tightly to the bases.
