very unique and functional american industrial mobile two tier supply and/or shop cart salvaged from an old chicago machine shop. the cart was originally used in a hospital operating room setting, with plate glass tiers fastened against a white enameled tubular metal frame. the plate glass was damaged or removed long ago and replaced with nicely worn and weathered maple wood at some unknown point in time. the top tier contains a turned solid wood handle for easier maneuverability when transporting goods. the welded joint tubular steel frame has been refinished and treated with a clear coat lacquer. the oversized hardened black rubber casters (both stationary and swivel type) are original to the cart. fabricated in part by the frank s. betz co., hammond, ind. measures 40 x 24 x 30 inches.
