single original and completely intact antique american victorian era ornamental cast iron interior residential passage door hinge designed and fabricated by the p. & f. corbin company, new britain, ct. the oversized loose pine hinge has been light cleaned, but the copper-plated finish remains largely intact. the two leaves are heavily ornamented with leafage, scrolls and geometric borders. the fanciful turned and tapered "steeple" type finials are original and intact. great working condition. the knuckles show very little wear. multiple sets of these hinges were salvaged from a chicago graystone residence constructed in the late 1880's. the hinge measures 4 1/2 inches x 4 1/2 inches wide x 7 3/4 inches.
