group of three original early 20th century antique american industrial original and intact "loxon" galvanized steel incandescent light bulb guards designed and fabricated by the mcgill mfg. co., valparaiso, ind. the lamp guards were originally outfitted with specialized screws that could be removed with the use of a key made exclusively by mcgill. the openings have since been replaced with regular threaded set screws. the galvanized finish remains largely intact throughout. the light bulb cages were salvaged from a chicago tool and die shop. similar light bulb guards are available.
