very unique and unusual custom-built c. 1930's refinished freestanding bent tubular steel factory machine shop stands salvaged from a metal stamping facility n chicago. the two oversized stands with telescoping extensions were discovered with a long metal pipe supported by the stands on each end. the what exactly was suspended from this makeshift rack is not known. the pipe is available and will be included with the stands if requested. the bent tubular steel legs or tripod bases contain diminutive steel plates or "feet" for added support and stability. the l-shaped handles are used to secure the height of the adjustable extensions and along the top where the horizontal pipe is positioned into place. both stands have been brushed and sanded to bare metal and sealed with a clear coat lacquer. priced for the pair.
