heavy duty unique and unusual american industrial repurposed boylston "diffractor" pipe valve coffee table or sitting bench featuring a refinished solid white oak wood live edge slab tabletop. the incredibly heavy cast iron pipe valve base was designed and fabricated by the boylston steam specialties co., chicago, il. the flanged and tapered valve unit was used to regulate noise levels in steam piping. the brushed metal finish has been sealed with a clear coat lacquer. nicely embossed lettering provides added visual character. measures 40 x 15 x 17 inches, base diameter measures 16 inches.
