pair of original freestanding early american antique industrial heavy duty cast iron turret lathe machine bases designed and fabricated by or for the jones & lamson company, springfield, vermont. the matching set of bases were painstakingly removed from a remarkably heavy jones and lamson turret lathe used in a chicago area factory machine shop. the low-lying a-frame bases have been thoroughly cleaned and refinished. the brushed metal finish has been sealed with a clear coat lacquer. the two bases likely were cast around 1910-1920. great overall condition. priced for the pair. measures 23 x 10 1/2 x 20 3/4 inches.
