late 1930's american industrial adjustable factory machine shop task lamp fabricated in part by the faries mfg. co., decatur, il. the single yellow brass or "gooseneck" arm retains the original faries "stamp" on the threaded endcaps. the phenolic or plastic/composite shell socket contains a pull-chain and brass threaded collar. the diminutive pressed or stamped steel shade or reflector has been brushed down to bare metal and sealed with a clear coat lacquer. the cast metal base contains three holes for mounting flush against a flat surface (e.g., wall, workbench, etc.). the coiled arm and base have been refinished. great working condition. the task lamp has been rewired. measures 26 1/2 inches extended.
