late 1940's vintage american industrial green painted "localite" triple joint task lamp designed and fabricated by the fostoria pressed steel corp., fostoria, oh. the pressed and formed steel articulating lamp contains a rolled rim slim helmet or "pear" reflector-shade with integrated socket housing with on/off toggle switch. original insulated black rubber lamp cord. the task lamp was originally mounted to a factory machine shop lathe. fostoria began producing the "localite" (in various configurations) beginning in 1918. the ball-and-socket joints are in good working condition. several variations available. measures approximately 41 inches long.
