truly outstanding all original and amazingly intact antique american neoclassical style electric "composition" pedant light fixture designed and fabricated by the decorators' supply company of chicago, il. the well-maintained polychromed oversized lantern ceiling light was salvaged from a notable non-extant chicago theater building lobby. the original lilac colored "glue chip" glass insets or panels are free from cracks or breaks. the antique gold leaf finish has darkened nicely over time. the original ceiling cap or canopy (also comprised of molded resin) is original to the fixture. the lantern's interior contains multiple sockets for illumination purposes. remarkable detail throughout. the fixture has been rewired. additional chain links can be added if need be. only one fixture available. measures 8 inches in diameter and 12 inches in height.
