american industrial two-tier stationary bookshelf salvaged from a chicago area public school library. the low-lying shelving unit is comprised of heavy gauge pressed and folded steel with original baked black enameled finish. the school's big and bold, art deco style lettering or monogram contains a mustard yellow finish outlined in thin brown border. the angled shelves are structurally sound. surface wear evident. possibly fabricated by the general fireproofing co., youngstown, oh. measures 33 1/2 x 12 x 35 inches.
