original early 20th century antique american industrial cast iron tapping machine factory machine shop pedestal base designed and fabricated by the rockford drilling machine company, rockford, ill. the completely refinished pedestal base contains an outswept flange with pre-driilled holes for anchoring the machine into the floor. the brushed (i.e., bare metal surface) has been sealed with a clear coat lacquer. the pedestal base remains in great overall condition. with the addition of a wood tabletop, the machine base makes for and ideal plant or store display stand. measures approximately 16 wide x 28 inches high.
