unique early 20th century original and intact antique american primitive weathered and worn wood portable cricket cage. the fabricator is not known. likely custom-built. the screen is comprised of copper and is original to the cage. the nailed wood box with spacious single compartment exhibits wear consistent with age. the original worn leather strap fro handling purposes is tightly affixed to the cage. the swinging circular-shaped wood lid remains in good condition. great potential for a repurposed light fixture or display box. measures 9 x 9 x 10 inches.
