unusual and customized original four-legged early 20th century antique american industrial stationary cast iron gas distribution or pumping machine base attributed to the s.f. bowser co., inc., fort wayne, ind. the highly individualistic and uniquely-shaped heavy duty base contains a pedestal type base with four outswept legs. the outstretched detachable top section has four oversized pre-drilled holes for mounting the pumping machine against the base. the base has been brushed down to bare metal and sealed with a clear coat lacquer. a thick plate glass tabletop would be most suitable if repurposed. salvaged from a chicago factory specializing in the fabrication of motors. base measures 18 inches x 23 inches, base height measures 31 inches.
