very heavy duty american depression era c. 1930's all-welded joint steel custom-built machinist tool and/or supply cabinet or chest salvaged from an old west side chicago factory specializing in sheet steel fabrication. the industrial humpback chest contains opposed welded joint handles and a centrally located lockable latch for security purposes. the interior is equipped with two detachable or removable trays comprised of the same thick gauge steel. the spacious compartment under the drawers or bins contains no dividers. the exterior has been brushed down the bare metal and sealed with a clear coat lacquer. the interior (including the trays) retains the original green painted finish. no signature or any other markings indicting the machinist's identity. very well-built and incredibly durable storage chest. measures approximately 22 x 13 x 14 inches.
