early 20th century american antique industrial freestanding chicago city hall cold-rolled steel filing cabinet unit salvaged designed and fabricated by the art metal construction company, jamestown, ny. the oversized all-metal towering city "fireproof" filing cabinet retains the original baked-on army green enamel with wear and tear consistent with age. the reinforced pressed and folded steel stationary cabinet contains 36 matching sliding drawers equipped with oversized pressed or stamped wrought metal pulls and label or placard holders with largely intact oxidized copper-plated finish. the robust cabinet drawers open and close with ease. the large and fanciful placard holders are riveted tightly against the sliding drawers. 32 x 17 1/2 x 74 1/2 inches
