robust c. 1940's four-legged all-metal angled iron pollard workbench or desk designed and fabricated by the pollard bros., mfg., co., chicago, il. the heavy gauge riveted joint iron workbench was salvaged from the zim mfg. company factory. founded in 1919, the zim manufacturing company specialized in the manufacture of automobile specialty tools and gauges, housewares, and other hand tools. the extant factory is located on the far west side of chicago.the the nicely worn bench has been lightly cleaned with the old factory green paint left intact. the foot pads contain pre-drilled holes for anchoring against the floor. 60 x 29 x 34 inches . 37 inches with rail guard.
