well-designed super streamlined american art moderne or art deco late 1920's interior five-light ceiling fixture designed and fabricated by or for the lightolier corp., jeannette, pennsylvania. the machine age electric fixture is comprised large of yellow brass with an intact polished chrome plated finish. the futuristic fixture features the highly desirable oversized deep bowl bottom shade with chromed tapered and turned finial doubling as an on/off switch. the flared top conical-shaped shade fitters are accentuated with segmented ventilated rings and ball finials. the keyless leviton sockets are nestled within the fitters. the stepped horn-shaped tiers conceal the central pipe containing the light cord or wire. the finial features an encircled ball finial cast in iron with original maroon paint finish. original chromed steel chain and deep bowl canopy intact. the five shallow-shaped custard-colored bowl drop shades are simple, yet elegant, and compliment the fixture nicely. measures 20 x 28 inches.
