two (2) total 20th century all original and unrestored american exterior ornamental cast iron building facade corbels salvaged from the extant chicago and northwestern railroad office building designed by the architectural firm of frost and granger in 1904. the partnership, consisting of charles sumner frost (1856–1931) and alfred hoyt granger, were known for their designs of train stations and terminals, including the now-demolished chicago and north western terminal in chicago. the oversized neoclassical style cast iron corbels contain richly ornamented floral rosettes, extensive acanthus leafage and volutes. the old black paint finish has not been altered or cleaned. the exact fabricator or foundry is not known. priced for the pair. 8 1/2 inches x 5 1/2 inches x 24 inches.
