original and intact c. 1850's medium blue aqua mineral water bottle manufactured for pittsburgh bottler joseph kennedy. the low, tapering shoulders and long neck are finished with an applied blobtop with some slop. the base has a shallow domed kickup with residue from manufacture with iron pontil. the front body is embossed "j. kennedy / mineral water / pittsburg" (note spelling without 'h'). crudities are typical of its age and date of manufacture, including stretch marks in the neck, discoloration or haze and slight irridization from having been dug.
