hard to find c. 1850's antique american privy dug pontiled teal porter style soda bottle manufactured for joseph kennedy of pittsburgh, pennsylvania. the front body is heavily embossed with lettering that reads “j kennedy / pittsburg”(note spelling without ‘h’) and an ornamental flower design. it is finished with a crude applied blob top that features whittling and slop. the thick base is very shallowly indented and retains residue from iron pontil. allover seeding and whittling.
