Unique early 1920's american antique industrial three-legged stationary stamping press machine stand featuring a newt added solid maple wood top that has been sanded, stained and sealed. the unusual cast iron and tubular steel base was likely fabricated by the the toledo tool & machine company, toledo, oh. the tripod base contains floor plates with pre-drilled holes for anchoring into the floor. the top of the stand features a welded joint platform with adjoining l-shaped plate affixed to the side. the original riveted joint incised number plaque remains intact. the newly added rectangular tabletop is mounted securely against the base. the grand rapids machine shop furniture piece has been brushed down to bare metal and sealed with a clear coat lacquer. 38 1/4 x 18 x 34 inches
